Popkins on American Inventor T.V. Show

Last year I was referred to someone to do some caricatures of celebrities for a product she invented. Her name is Karen Jarostchu from Wellesley, MA and she came up with a product that keeps your hands dry while you are eating ice pops. They are absorbent water-proof disks that slip onto the stick of an ice pop. You can read about the product at http://popkins.com/popkins.htm and a great article about her at http://www.wickedlocal.com/wellesley/news/business/x816772934 .

Anyway, she was trying to get on the reality T.V. show American Inventor. It is a Simon Cowell produced show with 4 celebrity judges including George Foreman. She wanted to come up with a clever idea to get the judges to remember her. So she asked me to make cartoons of each of the judges and Simon Cowell. She then printed them on some sample Popkins. She also made posters of them to use as a back drop. She actually made it all the way through and was filmed for the show. She got a yes from 3 out of 4 of the judges. They loved the invention and the drawings. Unfortunately the show was heavily edited and she did not make it on the actual program. Oh well. Here are the drawings I did for her.
